Sunday in Viña del Mar, Chile: A Walk Up a Hill and a Trip to the Beach
If It’s Chile, There Must Be a Hill
This weekend has turned out to be beautiful, and we don’t know how much longer that’s going to last, so we took advantage of it. First by having a lazy morning, but then eventually Joel & I (Cecile had work to do and plans for all of us later) took a walk across Alvarez street and up the cerro (hill) to a little park with an ocean view. This was the hill Cecile had stayed on before we arrived, but we visited a different part. After enjoying the view and the dogs, we walked around a little more and then headed back down and home. We ended up taking a slightly different route down and spotted a couple of little lizards (possibly anoles) and saw lots of nice flowers and plants. Enjoy
There’s No Hill at the Beach, So We Go There
We came back, had a little lunch, relaxed (I’ll post on the Minecraft hell Joel is putting me through later) and then had a 2:00 appointment to meet up with Cecile’s friends MJ & Sarah and head up to a beach a little to the north. Cecile & Sarah had been there before and had yummy desserts at a restaurant there, so we had a plan. As usual, I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant, but there is one food picture there for you. It was sunny and warm enough that Joel decided it was finally time to dip his toes in the water of the Pacific in South America (he’s done it before in Oregon and San Diego).
Enjoy the pics and talk at you soon. And be sure to encourage your friends and enemies to read this and Cecile’s blog to find out what we’re up to. We hear from people asking us how things are going and what we’re doing, and we just tell them to read the blogs.
