The Road to La Serena
Not sure if I’ll actually be able to get all this uploaded or not, so I’ll keep it short. We left this morning for our trip to La Serena where Cecile is presenting workshops on Thursday and Friday. She’ll have time to explore with us tomorrow morning and all day Saturday we’re taking a trip to the Elqui Valley. More details later, but just know that La Serena is actually the second oldest city in Chile, after Santiago.
On the other hand, the trip up was through desert territory that reminded Cecile and I variously of west Texas/souther New Mexico and Arizona, though with small differences (like an ocean on one side). So enjoy some pictures and we’ll try and write more later. We’re staying in a lovely hostel with limited wifi, so here goes nothing. Remember, click on the thumbnails to view the full size picture.
